Matt Cleevely to talk at REPXPERT Conference

Matt Cleevely

Matt Cleevely, the esteemed owner of Cleevely Electric Vehicles (EV), is set to offer his EV expertise at Schaeffler’s new national REPXPERT Conference for UK garages at the Manufacturing Training Centre (MTC) Coventry on Wednesday 22nd May, 2024.

At the REPXPERT Conference Matt will reveal the nature of EV work that independent garages can expect to see, the challenges they present and the unique business rewards available for those that successfully tap-into the fast-growing market. He’ll also feature in a keynote discussion panel that seeks to explore the challenges faced by forward-looking independent garages.

“EVs are bringing new opportunities for independent garages,” said Matt. “And when we’re talking about EVs, we’re not just talking about the future. They’re here in the now and it’s a fast-growing market. Our own data shows that EVs boast higher than average invoice values, better profit margins and improved customer retention.

“Yet, despite the promising market, there is still a common misconception: too many independent garage owners are daunted by the prospect of EVs. That’s why I’m keen to support key industry events such as the REPXPERT Conference to motivate and inspire others on how they can integrate EVs into their existing workshop offering.”

Cleevely EV recently launched a new EV/hybrid training course for technicians with IMI Level 2, 3, or 4 qualifications. The 'At Ease With EV' program aims to bolster the confidence of technicians who lack regular opportunities to practice EV skills in their workshops. The REPXPERT Conference promises an insightful schedule of industry talks, running from 9am to 5pm. Attendees can expect to hear from two keynote speakers and the panel discussion in the morning, followed by lunch and a choice of three repeated breakout lectures in the afternoon.

Free tickets are available to book now on a first-come, first-served basis. Garages are advised to book early to avoid disappointment.
