As the UK vehicle parc continues its shift towards electrification, thermal management is becoming one of the most critical, yet often overlooked, areas of vehicle maintenance.

While cooling systems have traditionally been associated with internal combustion engines, today's electric and hybrid vehicles rely on increasingly sophisticated coolant circuits to protect batteries, electric motors and power electronics from the damaging effects of heat.

Modern EVs and plug-in hybrids can feature multiple coolant circuits, electric water pumps and advanced temperature control systems designed to keep high-voltage components operating within precise ranges. Failure of a single component can impact vehicle performance, charging capability and, ultimately, battery longevity.
