It’s ‘Three-mendous’ as TPS launch third annual ‘Summer of Love’ charity drive

TPS, supplier of Volkswagen Group Approved Genuine Parts to the independent motor trade is set to complete a hat-trick of ‘Summer of Love’ events, as the popular fundraising initiative returns for a third year.  

The ‘Summer of Love’ 2025 will run from August 1 to August 31, with the opportunity for ‘Team TPS’, which includes TPS’s network of 83 Centres and its wider team, to fundraise for charities that represent something special to them. 

First launched in 2023, the ‘Summer of Love’ charity drive has during the past two years generated an incredible £29,498.49 for national and local charitable organisations through an array of fundraising events.

These include bake sales & BBQs, fancy-dress days, walks, raffles and cycle rides and in 2025 people are again being encouraged to be as creative and inspiring as possible with their fundraising ideas.

As in previous years ‘Summer of Love’ is not just about raising money, with ‘Team TPS’ encouraged to volunteer their time at a charity or local community project.

Andrea Lancaster, TPS Marketing and Communications Manager, said: “The ‘Summer of Love’ charity initiative is a huge opportunity for ‘Team TPS’ to come together, have fun and most importantly, raise money for charity.

“Since we launched ‘Summer of Love’ two years ago, it’s proved incredibly successful and so with people still showing a desire to take part, we have decided to do it again,   

“it’s so heartwarming to see all the amazing stories and fundraising efforts from everyone involved and we look forward to seeing what inspiring activities and ideas Team TPS come up with for this year’s event.”

For the team that raises the most money, including hours volunteered, they will again have the opportunity to secure an additional £500 to donate to their chosen charitable cause, courtesy of TPS.
