The Blend invites garages to summit Snowdon for charity hike
Garages across the UK and Ireland are once again invited to lace up their boots for The Blend Social Hike 2025, this time tackling one of the most iconic routes in the UK: Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) in the stunning Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park.
Set for Friday, 3rd October, the adventurous loop promises spectacular mountain views, meaningful conversations, and the chance to raise money for industry charity, Ben.
Open to all independent garages, the hike offers participants a unique opportunity to step away from the workshop, connect with peers, and embrace the outdoors, all while supporting those in the automotive industry facing tough times.
“This is more than just a hike,” said Alex Lindley, Director at Garage Hive. “It’s about shared experience, new friendships, and conversations that rarely happen in the day-to-day, all set against the dramatic backdrop of Snowdonia.”
This year’s route is a loop of approximately 11 km, starting from the iconic Pen-y-Pass Car Park.
The group will ascend via the Pyg Track, a rugged, exposed route with steep climbs and sweeping views, before reaching the summit of Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales. The descent will follow the more relaxed Miners’ Path, winding past lakes and rocky outcrops on the way back to base.
As with previous Blend hikes, participants are encouraged to donate or fundraise in support of Ben, the charity dedicated to helping automotive people through financial hardship, mental health challenges, and family crises.
Last year’s hike, along with profits donated from The Blend’s annual Garage Conference and networking event, raised a total of £14,650 for charity.
