Apollo appoints Vintage Tyres as distributor for classic car range
Apollo Tyres Ltd has signed a distribution agreement with Vintage Tyres for the supply of Vredestein classic car tyres in the UK. Vintage Tyres, which is the UK’s leading supplier of period-correct tyres for classic vehicles, will supply Vredestein products to trade customers – including tyre retailers, fitters and restoration firms – while also continuing direct sales to retail customers.
The new agreement builds on an association between Vintage Tyres and the Vredestein brand that spans more than two decades. Founded in 1962 by Edward Lord Montagu, founder of the National Motor Museum, and tyre industry expert Philip Pollock, Vintage Tyres is a leading name in the classic motoring community, working with thousands of retail clients and hundreds of commercial partners across the UK and internationally.
The Vintage Tyres catalogue now includes the full range of Vredestein classic car products, from the Sprint Classic, which caters for vehicles built from the 1950s through to the early 1980s, to the Sprint+ range for more modern classics. The company will also stock Vredestein’s more specialised classic range that includes the Grip Classic, Transport Classic and Snow Classic alongside the new all-season Quatrac Classic. Vintage Tyres will supply to all parts of the UK and will hold stock to ensure swift delivery.
Shobhit Arora, Country Sales Manager UK at Apollo Tyres Ltd commented: “Having Vintage Tyres on board as our lead distribution partner in the UK allows us to improve awareness of and access to the expanding Vredestein classic portfolio. With their heritage, expertise and passion for period motoring, Vintage Tyres will be the perfect partner to represent the brand in the UK, helping us better serve the growing classic car community.”
