Auto Windscreens comes to the rescue of Lincolnshire Emergency Blood Bikes Service

Auto Windscreens came to the rescue of Lincolnshire Emergency Blood Bikes Service (LEBBS) recently

Auto Windscreens came to the rescue of Lincolnshire Emergency Blood Bikes Service (LEBBS) recently, when its lead events vehicle suffered a cracked windscreen.

LEBBS was established in 2012 and is a registered volunteer-run charity providing the transportation of blood, breast milk for newborn babies, medical samples and equipment to NHS hospitals across Lincolnshire. It also supports the NHS Blood and Transplant Regional Centre in Barnsley and hospitals in Hull.

The vehicle is one of its fleet of 18 motorcycles and cars, and the work was undertaken by Head of Technical and Training at Auto Windscreens, Tony Green. Tony also volunteers his spare time undertaking deliveries for the charity on one of the LEBBS motorbikes.

Neville Wright, Chairman of LEBBS commented: “We are eternally grateful to our member Tony Green and Auto Windscreens for supplying and fitting a new windscreen to our Skoda Octavia. This operational and events vehicle is vital to us continuing our emergency courier work for NHS in Lincolnshire and beyond.

“Without the generosity of companies like Auto Windscreens we would be unable to continue to provide this valuable service free of charge - we carried out 2,673 jobs 2024. On behalf of the committee and our 140 volunteers, I’d like to thank the company for its help in keeping our volunteers on the move.”
