Auto Windscreens expands in six areas due to increase in calibrations
Auto Windscreens has opened three new service centres and relocated a further three to larger premises in the first quarter of 2025. This has been in response to an increased demand of nearly 300% for driver safety systems (ADAS) calibrations since 2019.
The company’s new Burton-on-Trent service centre opened earlier this month, as the company has seen an increased amount of work in south Derbyshire. Sites in Salisbury and Caernarfon have also launched, halving drive times for customers in more rural areas.
Larger sites have opened in Birmingham and Carlisle, which are now undertaking calibrations for between 40-50% of windscreen replacements jobs. As it has seen 36% more calibrations for customers living in London over the past two years, Auto Windscreens has also invested in a bigger unit in Harlow.
Sean Draycott, Operations Director for Auto Windscreens, commented: “We’ve targeted these locations due to the sheer volume of work we were seeing there. The new sites have already enabled us to undertake a higher-than-average number of calibrations overall in these areas and have reduced the distance customers need to travel for their booking. They align perfectly with our continued growth strategy for the rest of the year, which will kick off with the opening of a further five sites in Chelmsford, Barnstaple, Banbury, Glasgow and Dunfermline.”
