Introducing Axalta Irus AutoDose
Headlining colour management in the ecosystem at Automechanika is the global debut of Axalta Irus AutoDose, an efficient, automated colour mixing solution engineered specifically to help mid-sized collision repair facilities maintain a fierce competitive edge. Complementing the fully automated Axalta Irus Mix™ system, the Axalta Irus AutoDose makes automated mixing precision highly accessible, featuring a compact, space-saving design with dimensions tailored to integrate seamlessly into any existing mixing room workflow.
Engineered with a versatile dosing capacity, the system holds up to 12 toners simultaneously, a configuration explicitly calculated to mix the vast majority of day-to-day colour formulas quickly and cost-efficiently. Harnessing automated precision to maximise profitability and drastically minimise material waste, the Axalta Irus AutoDose mixes complex colour formulas in as little as six minutes. The technology is purpose-built to support refinishers utilising Cromax EZ+, Spies Hecker Hi-FLX and Standox Standoflow premium paint systems.
Unveiling Axalta Synergy™ and the Fast-Lane UV-A System
To simplify product selection and drive efficiency across the complete repair journey, Axalta has also unveiled Axalta Synergy. This is a unified brand for a carefully selected range of high-quality ancillary products, encompassing cleaners, additives, and advanced UV solutions, designed to work seamlessly with Axalta’s premium refinishing systems. Under the brand promise "Simplify your products. Streamline your workflow," Axalta Synergy helps bodyshops operate more efficiently, unlocking tangible commercial benefits including reduced product inventory and lower working capital investment.
The flagship innovation anchoring this new brand portfolio is the Axalta Synergy UV-A System, a premium-quality solution engineered to help bodyshops transform minor cosmetic and spot repairs into a highly profitable, dedicated "fast lane". By treating fast repairs independently, the system prevents minor damage from unnecessarily occupying valuable spray booth capacity or disrupting larger repair workflows.
The system relies on two high-performance, 1K technology products, both of which launched at Automechanika, designed to eliminate mixing errors and minimise material waste:
AXS504 UV-A Primer-Surfacer: A quick-build component delivering a rapid, controlled solution for spot repairs that eliminates lengthy baking processes. It features an ultra-fast one-minute drying time, strong adhesion, and enhanced corrosion resistance to remove preparation-phase bottlenecks.
AXS700 UV-A Clear: A premium finishing touch engineered for a rapid 1.5-coat application that delivers outstanding gloss, seamless blending, and high polishing potential. It achieves a full cure in just one minute with a UV-A hand lamp after a short three-minute flash-off time. Crucially for process control, curing consistency is unaffected by the basecoat colour, completely bypassing the heating variables associated with legacy infrared (IR) drying methods. Suitable for both spray gun and aerosol delivery, AXS700 provides complete process speed without compromising on a professional appearance.
