  • Three years of 40%+ growth, £100m+ of completed bookings earned by mechanics, and 120,000+ drivers powered the UK car-repair platform to national recognition

ClickMechanic, the UK’s leading online car-repair marketplace, has been named Growing Business of the Year at the 2025 Growing Business Awards. With over 100 fast-growing companies shortlisted for 2025, the win highlights the company’s rapid expansion, strong operational performance and transformative impact on the UK’s independent automotive repair sector.

Founded in 2012 to bring honesty, transparency and convenience to car repairs, ClickMechanic has grown into one of the UK’s most influential digital automotive marketplaces. The platform modernises how drivers book repairs and how mechanics attract work - offering instant fixed-price quotes, vetted professionals, secure payments and at-home or workplace repairs.

Over the past three years, the company has achieved over 40% annual growth, reached £5M ARR, and maintained an NPS of +87, all without relying on venture capital funding for over 6 years.

ClickMechanic has now channelled more than £100 million directly into mechanics’ pockets, making it a major economic engine for thousands of independent and mobile operators across the UK. Many mechanics have scaled from sole traders to multi-bay workshops, supported by ClickMechanic’s real-time pricing engine and consistent demand.

Thriving despite industry headwinds

ClickMechanic’s win comes at a challenging time for independent garages. According to the company’s Garage Trends Pulse Survey:

  • Parts and equipment costs rose by ~18% in 2025

  • Customer prices increased by only ~7%

  • 68% of garages report higher demand for instalment payments

  • Only 23% feel fully prepared to service electric vehicles

Meanwhile, The Motor Ombudsman found:

  • 89% of garages cite operational cost increases as their biggest challenge

  • 56% expect customers to delay essential repairs

Despite this “perfect storm,” mechanics on ClickMechanic’s platform continue to grow, supported by digital tools that improve pricing, utilisation, customer trust and business stability.

A landmark year of scale and innovation

In 2024/25, ClickMechanic:

  • Served 120,000+ customers

  • Issued 1.5 million+ instant online quotes

  • Improved job assignment times ensuring the majority of bookings were accepted by a mechanic in under an hour

  • Ran 180+ product and operational experiments to enhance efficiency and satisfaction

  • Expanded partnerships with Turo, Cuvva, Motoreasy, Motors, Cazoo, Marshmallow

These advances have strengthened both sides of the marketplace - giving consumers a faster, more transparent way to book repairs, and giving mechanics consistent, high-quality work with no upfront cost.

Andrew Jervis, CEO and co-founder, said:
“This award is a huge moment for our team and for the thousands of mechanics who power our platform every day. With costs rising and technology shifting fast, independent garages need better tools and more predictable work. We’re proud to play a meaningful role in helping them not just survive, but grow.”

Felix Kenton, CTO and co-founder, added:
“Three consecutive years of strong growth doesn’t happen by accident. They come from experimentation, innovation and listening closely to both drivers and mechanics. This award validates everything we’ve built - and motivates us to keep pushing the industry forward.”

Looking ahead

ClickMechanic will continue investing in EV-ready services, mechanic-focused product development and digital tools that simplify car care while strengthening the UK’s independent repair ecosystem.
