Cooper Tire & Rubber Company Europe Named by EHRC for Failing to Report Gender Pay Gap
Cooper Tire & Rubber Company Europe has been named by the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) as one of ten organisations that failed to report their gender pay gap data within the required timeframe.
According to Personnel Today, all of the organisations listed are more than five months late in publishing their figures, despite UK regulations requiring employers with 250 or more staff to report annually on the difference in pay between men and women.
The EHRC confirmed that it has issued warning notices to those named, including Cooper Tire & Rubber Company Europe. If the organisations still fail to comply, the Commission has the power to take enforcement action, which could include enforceable action plans, investigations, court orders and financial penalties.
The gender pay gap reporting regulations were introduced to improve transparency and to encourage employers to take steps towards pay equality.
At the time of publication, Cooper Tire & Rubber Company Europe has not yet publicly responded to the EHRC notice.
