Cataclean, has helped EMS Waste Services Ltd improve fuel efficiency and reduce diesel particulate filter (DPF) issues across its HGV fleet.

Operating a fleet of approximately 50 waste collection vehicles, EMS Waste Services began trialling Cataclean to assess whether it could make measurable improvements to fuel usage and vehicle performance.

The results were immediate. Following the initial trial, the company rolled out Cataclean across its entire fleet, incorporating it as part of its regular maintenance programme. Today, Cataclean is added during each vehicle inspection, every eight weeks.

Jack Stuart, Director at EMS Waste Services, explained: “We trialled Cataclean in a small number of our HGVs to see if we could reduce fuel usage. We were impressed with the trial results and therefore rolled it out to the rest of the fleet.

“We have also noticed since using Cataclean we have experienced fewer issues with diesel particulate filters.”
