GS Yuasa battery selected for all-new Toyota RAV4

GS Yuasa Corporation has announced its newly developed automotive lithium-ion battery, EHW4GA, has been selected as original equipment for hybrid models of the all-new Toyota RAV4 in overseas markets.

Developed with advanced low-resistance technology, the new battery delivers over 10% improvements in both energy density and input/output performance, optimising efficiency for hybrid systems. The cells and modules are manufactured by Blue Energy Co., Ltd., a GS Yuasa Group company, with further enhancements including a newly designed die-cast module case to reduce weight and component count.

This innovation builds on GS Yuasa’s extensive expertise in lithium-ion technology. Since establishing Blue Energy in 2009, the Group has supplied batteries for over 4 million hybrid vehicles worldwide, demonstrating proven reliability, consistent performance and trusted OEM capability at scale.
