Halfords Joins IAAF

With approximately 10,000 colleagues across the UK, Halfords supports millions of motorists every year

The Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) has welcomed Halfords Group plc as its latest member, further strengthening the Federation’s growing network of businesses committed to supporting collaboration, innovation and the long-term success of the independent automotive aftermarket.

Halfords is the UK’s leading provider of motoring and cycling products and services. Through Halfords Autocentres, it is one of the UK’s largest independent operators in tyre replacement, vehicle servicing, maintenance, repair, and MOT, supporting both retail and fleet customers through a nationwide network of garages, retail stores and mobile service vans.

With approximately 10,000 colleagues across the UK, Halfords supports millions of motorists every year through its integrated model spanning retail, garages and mobile services. The business continues to expand its services-led strategy, delivering accessible, expert vehicle maintenance and repair wherever and whenever customers need it.

The decision to join the IAAF reflects Halfords’ commitment to supporting a strong, competitive and future-ready automotive aftermarket, while playing an active role in shaping the future direction of the industry.

Adam Pay, Managing Director of Autocentres and Mobile Network at Halfords, said:
“Joining the IAAF is a natural step for Halfords as we continue to play a bigger role in shaping the future of the automotive aftermarket. This is a sector that keeps the nation  moving, and it’s one we’re deeply committed to strengthening. By working closely with partners across the industry, we can help raise standards, tackle shared challenges and make sure motorists continue to benefit from trusted, expert care at scale.”

Halfords will also work very closely with the Federation in areas such as lobbying and strategy, as the IAAF intensifies its efforts through the Right to Repair campaign, protecting access for the independent aftermarket and safeguarding choice for the motorist.

Mark Field, Chief Executive of the IAAF, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Halfords to the IAAF. As one of the UK’s most recognisable and trusted automotive service providers, Halfords brings significant expertise and scale to our membership. Their commitment to supporting the future of the aftermarket aligns closely with the IAAF’s mission to strengthen and champion the independent sector.”
