ifndautoparts Reaches Important Milestones
ifndautoparts continues to make makes waves in the automotive aftermarket. It has now reached the 50,000 mark of parts listed on its system, and will soon boast more than 1000 individuals who have registered accounts on the system.
A number of campaigns by the ifndautoparts team, targeting parts sales operations in a variety of sectors in the aftermarket, following on from successful appearances at several high-profile motoring events in the first half of the year, have led to this influx of companies and individuals signing up to list parts on the ifndautoparts site.
In some cases, this has meant adding several thousand parts to the ifndautoparts platform from single sources and the number of parts on the system has risen exponentially – and continues to do so.
“The positive reactions we received from people who understood quickly that there was something they could benefit from through ifndautoparts is something really excellent. The events we exhibited at brought us both trade and public sellers who want to be part of what we are doing. The fact that such a wide variety of people are now working with us, reinforces our belief that we have an offer of true value,” explains ifndautoparts director, Mick Lunn.
Thanks to an uncomplicated fee structure – where listings are free and sellers are charged a straight 10% once a sale is made - the company is attracting increasing numbers of sellers from other platforms, much earlier in its development schedule than it originally hoped for. ifndautoparts is now in the process of onboarding various larger sellers and has needed, therefore, to up its capacity to quickly absorb large numbers of parts onto its system, which it is in the process of doing.
Perhaps even more impressive than the headline figures is the underlying rate of growth ifndautoparts has enjoyed in recent months. Between May and June, listings grew by almost 900% and the number of accounts grew four-fold.
ifndautoparts is continuing this upward surge, successfully continuing to recruit both sellers and buyers through a mixture digital marketing, social media, and traditional media both print-based and digital. It has also just embarked on a concerted campaign to target car clubs and their members, via its commercial partnership with the Federation of British Historic Vehicle clubs, which gives ifndautoparts access to hundreds of car clubs and hundreds of thousands of enthusiasts.
“The ifndautoparts platform offers enthusiasts several critical advantages over other parts platforms,” explains Mick Lunn. “Firstly, we understand their needs and frustrations and have put a whole load of features into the ifndautoparts system that deal with them. Secondly the system is quick and straightforward and cost-effective to use. Finally, we offer them a chance to help ensure other likeminded enthusiasts can find parts that might not otherwise end up in circulation. So, we’re challenging every enthusiast to try it: list a part, sell it fast, and help keep another classic on the road.”
