Martin McGreevy returns to Ecobat Battery

Returning to Ecobat Battery, respected aftermarket stalwart Martin McGreevy has rejoined the UK’s largest battery distributor on the eve of an exciting new phase, as the company adopts and rolls out its new corporate identity on 1st December, 2025.

Having spent the last five years with GSF, during which time the company went through a considerable organisational restructure following its change of ownership, Martin has further added to his formidable aftermarket experience that has seen him operate from both the distribution and product supplier sides of the industry.

“As Ecobat Battery embarks on the latest leg of its journey, it was very important to have a Head of National Accounts in place to help us navigate the course and maximise the opportunities,” explains Managing Director, Kevin Wood, “and we could do no better than have Martin in the chair!

“Not only does Martin know the battery sector, understand Ecobat Battery’s business, and the team within, but he also has enormous experience as both a buyer and a seller within the industry. In addition, as such a people person, he also has great relationships throughout the aftermarket.”

Commenting on his reappointment, Martin said: “I had a great time at GSF with few reasons to leave, but sometimes when you get a call from someone you respect, within an organisation that has been a big part of your history, it would be crazy to turn it down. So, when Kev gave me a call and we had a serious chat, coming back to Ecobat Battery as it begins its new chapter, was a no brainer.

“Having set up the national accounts department during my last term, I’m relishing the prospect of further developing the role as we unveil the new corporate name and branding, while reaffirming our well earned reputation for exceptional product knowledge and first class service provision, alongside the wide range of brands we supply across multiple sectors.”
