Motul adds Gravity show to its partnerships
Motul has announced a new partnership with Gravity Show and the organisation behind it. From its days as a small car meet in Kent, with a few hundred cars, Gravity has grown to become one of Europe’s biggest automotive events. This year the multi-faceted show which includes a live action arena, Low Rider & BMX feature areas and hundreds of world leading brands, will be staged over the August Bank Holiday weekend at the NEC in Birmingham, with a crowd that is expected to be in excess of 45,000.
Gravity has been a growing part of the UK performance car scene since 2016, increasing its size and scope rapidly year on year. Although the Gravity Show is the focal point of the year, it has evolved into a significant media and content provider. Its reach on YouTube is currently 5.5 million with a mailing list of more than 65,000, and the numbers continue to grow. The Gravity Show ethos is to build a community connecting enthusiasts, allowing them to showcase their builds and their love for their vehicles.
The recent move to new headquarters with their own modern workshop facility, capable of housing their project vehicles, adds an important extra dimension to the partnership and will see Gravity and Motul collaborating on a number of high-profile projects over the course of the partnership.
“This partnership is more than just Motul lending its support to what is one of the UK’s leading motoring events,” explains Andy Wait, Motul Head of Business for UK & Ireland.” The Gravity Show organisation’s activities are year-round and they are continually working on new project vehicles both cars and bikes – for which Motul will now be providing Lubricants, Transmission, Brake and other fluids, as well as some of our Motul workshop systems. This means that it will be a technical partnership in the true sense of the word.
“We are very excited to welcome Motul on board as a Gravity Show partner,” explains Gravity’s Head of Business Development Dom Day. “Motul is not only an extremely cool brand to be with but, technically, they are peerless and they were very much our number one target for a lubricant partner. We’re delighted to have been able to forge this partnership because, like Motul we are all about passion for what we do. We look forward to making this the beginning of something both meaningful and long-lasting.”
Gravity Show will take place on August 23-24 at Birmingham’s NEC and details of the show – including tickets for the Motul-supported event – and the organisation behind it can be found at www.gravityshow.co.uk
