NEOL Lubricants strengthens UK team as it scales real-world impact
New appointments mark the transition from innovation-led startup to structured, delivery-driven organisation
NEOL Lubricants has announced a trio of key appointments - Derrick Pike as Sales Director, David Simpson as Commercial Director - Marine & Offshore andAlex Klepikov as Head of Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Logistics - as the brand as it prepares for the next stage of strategic growth.
Together with Head of Products David Wilson, who has shaped NEOL’s formulation strategy and pilot programs from the inside, the expanded team reflects NEOL’s evolution from breakthrough lab science to reliable global delivery.
From pioneering copper-based chemistry to field-tested performance in on- and off-road diesel engines, marine vessels, and locomotives, NEOL is now moving into a delivery phase - ensuring customers worldwide get the benefit of its technology, reliably and at scale.
“We began as a technology company. Now, we’re building the systems and partnerships needed to deliver that technology globally,” said Leyla Alieva, CEO and Co-Founder at NEOL Lubricants. “Derrick, David and Alex bring deep knowledge, operational clarity, and a shared belief that lubricants should do more than just protect. They should transform.”
Derrick Pike brings over 30 years of experience in industrial, chemical and lubricant markets. At NEOL, he is focused on turning scientific advantage into commercial success - helping customers benefit from performance-proven formulations.
Derrick commented: “I love being part of a forward-thinking, purpose-driven team. NEOL’s company culture encourages innovation, collaboration and curiosity – and every day brings something new. The depth of knowledge, drive for innovation and shared commitment to sustainability sets us apart in the lubricants space and I’m thrilled to join the NEOL team at this exciting time!”
With a background in managing global blending, toll production and logistics for leading brands, Alex Klepikov will ensure that NEOL products arrive when and where they're needed - efficiently, cost-effectively and sustainably.
When asked about the new role, Alex said: ““The moment I understood how NEOL’s CuGlide™ technology works - how it restores machines from the inside - I knew I wanted to be part of making it accessible at scale.”
After working closely with NEOL as an advisor, David Simpson now leads commercial development in marine and offshore. His experience in fleet maintenance and engineering gives him a clear view of how NEOL’s oils extend engine life, reduce wear and prevent expensive overhauls.
He commented: “NEOL isn’t just another lubricant company - it’s rewriting what’s possible in machinery health and performance. My focus will be on the Marine and Offshore sectors, helping fleet owners repair less, rejuvenate more.”
