Nominations open for Automechanika Birmingham Garage Awards 2026
The Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) is delighted to confirm that nominations are now open for the Automechanika Birmingham Garage Awards 2026, headline sponsored by LKQ Euro Car Parts. The event will take place on Wednesday 3 June 2026 at NEC Birmingham as part of the UK Garage & Bodyshop Event.
Now firmly established as a highlight of the automotive calendar, the Garage Awards celebrate excellence right across the independent aftermarket, recognising the garages, technicians and teams who have demonstrated exceptional skill, resilience, innovation and customer focus in a rapidly evolving industry. With the UK Garage & Bodyshop Event expected to bring together thousands of aftermarket professionals, exhibitors and suppliers this summer, the awards are set to shine a spotlight on the best of the sector.
This year’s programme returns with the core set of prestigious categories, and once again reflects the dynamic nature of the independent workshop community:
Garage of the Year
Best Single-Site Garage
Best Multi-Site Garage
Best Community Initiative
‘Auto-Mechanik’ of the Year
Best Marketing Award
Best Customer Service Award
Lifetime Achievement Award
Content Creator Award
‘Young-Mechanik’ of the Year Award
Entries can be submitted now via the official nomination portal, with a closing date of 29 March 2026. All shortlisted entrants will be invited to attend the awards evening with two complimentary tickets, where winners will be revealed in front of peers, colleagues and industry leaders during what promises to be a night of celebration, networking and recognition.
Commenting on the launch, Mark Field, Chief Executive of IAAF, said: “Each year, we want to keep improving these awards in line with our ambitions to offer garages a community that they can unite under. We’re bringing the entire automotive aftermarket supply chain closer together and we want to support a garage’s future growth and development. We look forward to celebrating the achievements of businesses that define the heart of the UK aftermarket and keep the UK motoring.”
