OSRAM enters the battery market!

OSRAM has dominated the market in terms of bulbs and more recently inspection lamps, dash cameras, wiper blades and solar chargers, but now the business is adding another string to its bow, with button cell batteries.

To further assist workshops, auto electricians and factors with their countertop sales and therefore, distress purchase products, OSRAM has introduced button cell batteries to its offering.

Consisting of 10 products, which provides full coverage, OSRAM’s 3V lithium button cell battery range provides reliable and constant power, with excellent longevity and a long shelf life. The batteries are primarily for car key fobs, but can also be used in other products, such as toys, watches, calculators and even hearing aids. For the launch, OSRAM is offering customers a stock pack solution, where they can buy 210 batteries and get a free wire stand with header to display the stock on.

Marketing Manager for OSRAM, Terri Clark, commented: “We think it’s really important for factors to have stock of key fob batteries, as they’re usually a distress purchase and, due to the low cost, can be impulsively bought by customers, creating a healthy profit margin.

“We’ve also had feedback that they like to keep a stock of key fob batteries in case they need to quickly replace the battery in a key fob for their customer, creating a better customer relationship.
