Ring’s offices get a revamp!

To improve operational efficiency throughout its business, Ring has consolidated its headquarters into one building.

For years, Ring Automotive has had two buildings on the same site. Volvox House was a purpose built, modern warehouse, with office facilities and was used to store finished goods. Nina Works was the second building on site and used to contain the production facilities, the Quality department and its sister organisation, Ring Carnation. All have now been moved and integrated into the one building - Volvox House.

Marketing Director for Ring, Henry Bisson, said: “This plan has been in motion for some time as it’s much more efficient strategically and logistically to have everyone and everything in one building. To accommodate the move, and ensure we are maximising the space and capacity of the building, production areas and mezzanine floors have been erected, plus new office spaces added. What is amazing is to see how the whole Ring team has embraced this change and continued to deliver for customers while change is happening all around them.” 

The new offices were opened with representatives from parent company, OSRAM, attending to see the changes for themselves.

Henry continued: “Being under one roof will inevitably create efficiency and cost savings but the real purpose is to ensure we stay agile and responsive to our customers.

Colleagues who have worked over in Nina Works, a building that felt tired and old, will certainly feel the benefit of moving to new offices with modern facilities and a better work space. 

“The most exciting part has been investing in additional equipment and new cameras to equip our new Lighting Laboratory and Beam Testing Tunnel to the highest possible specification. We are looking forward to welcoming our first customers so we can show how can we support their business and how we are investing for the future.

“A second phase of change is also planned later on the year with a new training and conference facility being created.”
