Thinkcar backs technician development with sponsorship of free live training session

Thinkcar UK is supporting technicians and garage professionals with its sponsorship of a free live training session from RMS Diagnostics, designed to develop a more structured approach to electrical fault-finding.

Taking place on Tuesday 18th August at 7.30pm, the one-hour live Zoom session will introduce attendees to the RMS 6-Step Thought Process, a repeatable approach to diagnosing difficult electrical faults.

Rather than focusing on how to use individual diagnostic equipment or test tools, the session will explore the thinking and methodology behind effective diagnosis. The aim is to help technicians approach electrical faults logically, reduce assumptions and establish a clear diagnostic plan before replacing components.

The session will cover how to approach an electrical fault with greater confidence, decide what to test first, develop a logical diagnostic strategy and most importantly, prove a fault before replacing a component.

For workshops, adopting a consistent diagnostic process can help reduce unnecessary parts replacement and prevent technicians from following a trial-and-error approach when faced with complex electrical issues.

During the session RMS Diagnostics will also demonstrate how applying this structured methodology has helped resolve faults that other workshops have been unable to diagnose, providing practical insight into how a repeatable thought process can be applied in real-world workshop situations.
