UK Garage excellence celebrated at the Automechanika Garage Awards

Now in its fifth year, the awards have grown significantly in stature and ambition, attracting hundreds of nominations across ten dynamic categories

The UK aftermarket came together in style as the Automechanika Birmingham Garage Awards 2025, hosted by the Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) and headline sponsored by LKQ Euro Car Parts, returned to shine a spotlight on the standout individuals, workshops and businesses transforming the nation’s garage sector.

Held on night two of Automechanika Birmingham, the sold-out ceremony brought together technicians, motor factors, suppliers, influencers and trade leaders to honour the commitment, innovation, and excellence that keep the UK’s 34 million motorists moving.

Now in its fifth year, the awards have grown significantly in stature and ambition, attracting hundreds of nominations across ten dynamic categories, from community-led garages and exceptional customer service to rising stars and seasoned industry legends.

Mark Field, Chief Executive of the IAAF, said: “The Automechanika Birmingham Garage Awards gives the aftermarket an opportunity to celebrate, connect, and elevate our trade. These awards recognise the passion and progress happening on the ground, in workshops up and down the country. Thank you to our sponsors and members for making this event possible and to all the finalists and winners for their inspiring stories of innovation and resilience – IAAF is proud to be representing a growing number of garages who continue to give back to our sector.

The Garage Awards 2025 built on the success of past events, with more entries, more attendees, and more reasons to celebrate. Finalists each received complimentary tickets, joining a sell-out crowd from across the aftermarket. Guests were treated to a delicious three-course meal, followed by top-tier entertainment from acclaimed comedian Stephen K Amos, who brought the house down with a sharp and brilliantly observed stand-up routine, making it a night to remember for all involved.

Joanne Knowles, Event Director at Messe Frankfurt UK, organisers of Automechanika Birmingham, added: “The Automechanika Birmingham Garage Awards are a highlight of the UK automotive calendar. It was fantastic to see so many entries this year, and even better to see how much these awards mean to people. Huge congratulations to all the winners, finalists and sponsors who made this possible.”
