WAI sponsors ‘Best Community Initiative’ Award at Automechanika

The winner for the category will be announced at the Automechanika Birmingham Garage Awards 2025 on Wednesday 4th June

WAI has lent its support to the Automechanika Birmingham Garage Awards 2025, with the company sponsoring the ‘Best Community Initiative’ Award, which recognises the proactive role many businesses in the sector play within their local areas.

The winner for the category will be announced at the Automechanika Birmingham Garage Awards 2025 on Wednesday 4th June, held at the NEC during Automechanika Birmingham 2025.

“Businesses in the automotive industry are active participants in their local communities,” said Richard Welland, Chief Commercial Officer at WAI. “This award will recognise the vital role they play in fostering local ties and improving lives across the board.” 

Mark Field, IAAF Chief Executive, added: “The automotive aftermarket is a people industry, and this is reflected in the many community projects led by businesses from our sector. Our thanks to WAI for sponsoring this worthy award.”

The Automechanika Birmingham Garage Awards 2025, hosted by trade body IAAF and headline sponsored by LKQ Euro Car Parts, will recognise outstanding individuals and businesses across the garage and bodyshop sector.

The winners of all of the awards will be revealed next month at the glittering awards ceremony, a night dedicated to celebrating the best-of-the-best technicians and businesses in the industry.
