Schaeffler Vitesco adds more high-tech products to wide ranging portfolio

Vitesco was successfully integrated into the Schaeffler family in 2025, initially launching a range of popular NOx Sensors into the UK aftermarket under the ‘Schaeffler Vitesco’ brand name.

The company has now expanded the range by adding many more high-tech products, including; Sensors, Actuators, Purge Valves, Reductant Dosing Units, High Pressure Pumps, Transmission Control Units (TCU), plus Diesel and Petrol Injectors.

The TCU will be a familiar component to technicians that have completed Schaeffler’s double clutch training and added semi-automatic transmission clutch repairs to their skillset. Transmissions such as DSG and PowerShift, as well as many other automated and automatic transmissions, all feature a TCU to accurately control the gear shifting function. 

Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensors, available in both tube and plug-in designs, precisely calculate the optimum air to fuel ratio required for an efficient combustion process, and the now familiar NOx sensors set standards in accurate nitrogen oxide measurement, supporting efficient exhaust aftertreatment and helping to ensure compliance with strict global environmental standards.

Temperature Sensors provide precise data to the control unit, contributing to efficient fuel consumption, reliable emissions management and a long engine life, whist Pressure Sensors reliably help detect potential issues, such as leaks in the intake system, crankcase ventilation system or fuel evaporation system, acting as an early warning system to prevent engine problems.

The Schaeffler Vitesco Actuator range includes Electronic Throttle Control (ETC), a motorised component that opens and closes the throttle valve, precisely regulating the airflow to control engine load and speed. Another is the Air Control Valve (ACV) found on diesel engines, which manages the intake of fresh air, optimising exhaust gas recirculation, and helping to prevent ‘shut off shaking’.
