Cataclean celebrates historic BTCC debut with Cataclean Plato Racing
Cataclean marked the start of the 2026 British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) season in strong fashion with Cataclean Plato Racing. The team made their debut at Donington Park on 18th-19th April, with drivers Daniel Rowbottom and Adam Morgan delivering an impressive performance.
Rowbottom secured a historic victory in the championship’s first-ever Qualifying Race-to-Pole, while Morgan delivered consistent performance across the weekend with a hat-trick of top ten finishes.
Rowbottom commented: “We’ve made history by being the first-ever winners of the Race-to-Pole, a special result and something we can all be proud of. Every single person on the team has pulled together and set an incredibly high standard, which is what we’re all about”
Alongside on-track performance, the BTCC serves as a valuable platform for Cataclean to showcase the brand to a wider audience. With coverage broadcast on ITV4 and digital platforms including YouTube, Cataclean is able to engage with both motorsport fans, as well as a broader consumer audience.
The Cataclean team were front and centre throughout the weekend, showcasing Cataclean Plato Racing as the new season got underway. With plenty of action still to come, BTCC race weekends allow Cataclean to bring partners trackside, putting the brand on display in a high-powered motorsport environment. Cataclean will continue to build connections across the industry and strengthen relationships with clients in a way that goes beyond the usual.
Hosting a number of garage and motor factor partners trackside with the Cataclean Plato Racing team. As part of the experience, guests were given exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the team garage, where experienced race mechanic Craig Smith led a detailed walkthrough of the car build, explaining the engineering decisions behind key components, set-up choices and race strategy while guests listened along to on-track feedback from the drivers through headsets.

Although race day presented a number of challenges for Cataclean Plato Racing, including penalties and technical issues, both drivers showed consistency and determination, securing points finishes and insight to build on moving forward.
