ALLDATA champions young talent at Automechanika
With 14 UK colleges on board and more joining across Europe, ALLDATA is helping students gain hands-on experience with real-world OEM data
On day three of Automechanika Birmingham, ALLDATA Europe shifts the spotlight to where it matters most: the next generation of automotive professionals. The message this week has been clear: preparing the right people with the right tools and data essential to the future of our industry.
To support this vision, ALLDATA has launched an expanding education initiative across Europe, offering colleges direct access to the same OEM repair data used in professional workshops. In the UK alone, 14 colleges have already adopted the ALLDATA package as part of their curriculum, with the latest institution coming on board just this month. By integrating ALLDATA Repair into daily learning, students can explore all aspects of vehicle repair from diagnostics to mechanical and collision work all powered by original OEM repair information data from 42 vehicle manufacturers.
This kind of hands-on exposure is helping students build confidence early, preparing them for real-world workshop conditions and increasing their employability.
“We’re proud to work with partners, like ALLDATA, who share our mission to connect automotive with education and to show young people that this industry offers a future that’s technical, exciting, and full of opportunity,” said Dave Reece, director at School of Thought Automotive, during ALLDATA’s Repair Excellence event in April.
To support colleges in delivering this experience, ALLDATA Europe has developed a tailored education package that fits effortlessly into existing vocational programs.
More than 20 institutions in Germany, Austria and Switzerland are already seeing the impact. Students trained with ALLDATA are entering the workforce better prepared, and employers are taking notice.
What started in Germany is now setting an example for vocational training across Europe. By bringing in the right people – engaged educators, curious students and committed partners – the industry is laying the foundation for a strong and future-ready aftermarket.
Karol Englert, managing director of ALLDATA Europe, said: “Young talents are the backbone of our industry’s future. At ALLDATA, we believe in equipping students and apprentices with the same level of data and tools used by professionals in the field. The earlier they can engage with original OEM information, the better prepared they are for a changing and increasingly technical automotive landscape.”
