Cataclean helps fleet operators extend vehicle life and reduce downtime

With the cost of new vehicles vastly increasing, fleet operators are looking for smarter solutions to keep their vans and trucks on the road for longer. Cataclean is quickly becoming the go-to solution to help operators keep engines running longer and performing better.

Major supermarket supplier, Bryan Salads, recently put Cataclean’s 8-in-1 solution to the test in a real-world trial, resulting in them making Cataclean a permanent part of their fleet maintenance routine.

Bryan Salads’ operations handle fresh produce, sourced by tractors in their fields and delivered by vans and trucks on the road, which means any vehicle that isn’t in operation will cost the business more than just a repair bill. The Cataclean trial showed that keeping the fuel and exhaust systems clean across its entire fleet was the most effective way to prevent unexpected downtime and keep the whole supply chain moving.

Henry Bryan, grandson of the company’s founder, recently held a training session for his engineering team, along with Cataclean’s Peter Eaton, to ensure the best use of Cataclean across their fleet. By proactively removing the carbon build-up that leads to engine wear, Bryans Salads can keep its machinery in service well beyond the usual.

Peter Eaton, Cataclean’s Business Development Manager, commented: "For any business managing a mix of agricultural machinery and delivery vehicles, the priority is always the same: keep them moving.

“We’ve enjoyed working closely with Henry and his engineering team to show how Cataclean can act as a preventative tool, helping them bypass the usual five-year replacement cycle by keeping their engines in peak condition and significantly reducing emissions."
