Garage Talk Radio has officially hit the airwaves - and its first week has already delivered an impressive mix of high-profile guests, industry insight, listener-focused entertainment and top-quality music.

Launched this week, Garage Talk Radio aired shows from 8am–10am on Tuesday and Thursday, with weekday repeat broadcasts at 4.30pm, quickly establishing itself as a fresh and engaging voice within the automotive and motorsport community.

The station’s guest section welcomed an exceptional lineup in its opening week, including Mark Field, Chief Executive of the IAAF, and Ellen Plumer, Head of Awareness and Experience at automotive charity BEN, offering listeners valuable perspectives from the very top of the industry. Guest features also included Road Trip Records, bringing a cultural and musical edge to the show.

In the news section, Mike Sadler from DENSO joined the programme to discuss the League of True Mechanics, shining a spotlight on skills, recognition and pride within the automotive trade.

Listeners were also treated to two real-life CARtastrophe stories, along with the popular Pit Stop Quiz, which featured in both shows and quickly became a firm favourite.

Alongside the conversation and features, Garage Talk Radio has also been serving up a strong soundtrack, blending great music with the shows to keep listeners entertained from start to finish.

And the momentum doesn’t stop there. Garage Talk Radio returns next Tuesday, with another strong lineup of guests already confirmed.

Next week’s shows will include Eleanor Baker Barnes from Apprenticeship Central, joining the team to talk about National Apprenticeship Week and the importance of creating pathways for young people into the industry. Also appearing will be Prashant Chopra from Autogem, who will be sharing his personal journey — including the sliding-doors moments that helped shape his career.

Alongside the guests, listeners can once again expect the usual madness, with news, CARtastrophes, and Pit Stop Quizzes all firmly on the agenda.

For anyone who missed the live broadcasts, the shows are repeating every Saturday and Sunday from 12pm, and can be listened to online at
