Launched as part of the wider Garage Talk digital platform, the Garage Talk Radio app contains a mixture of automotive industry conversation, music, interviews, podcasts and news, bringing together personalities and businesses from across the UK automotive aftermarket.
The launch of the app means listeners can now access Garage Talk Radio directly from their devices, making it even easier to listen at work, in the workshop, at home or on the move.
Garage Talk co-founder Ben Coates said: “Seeing the Garage Talk Radio app live on the App Store is a massive moment for us. What started as an idea to create something different for the automotive aftermarket is continuing to grow into a genuine multimedia platform.
“We want Garage Talk to be somewhere the industry can talk, debate, have some fun and reach audiences in different ways. Radio has become a really important part of that, and having our own app takes it another step forward.
“The biggest thing for us is making Garage Talk as accessible as possible. People don't necessarily have time to sit and watch something or read an article during the working day, but they can have the radio playing in the workshop, office, van or car."
Garage Talk has developed into a multi-channel automotive aftermarket media platform encompassing Garage Talk Online, Garage Talk Radio, and Garage Talk Unwrapped video and podcast content.
The radio station adds a live and immediate dimension to the platform, creating opportunities for industry guests, businesses and organisations to join discussions while giving the aftermarket a dedicated station it can listen to throughout the working day.
The new app also creates further opportunities for Garage Talk's commercial partners, allowing brands to reach an engaged automotive audience across an expanding range of digital channels.
Vicky Coates, co-founder of Garage Talk, added: “There has been a huge amount of work behind the scenes to get Garage Talk Radio to this point, and we're incredibly excited to finally see people downloading the app and listening.
“There is a lot more planned for Garage Talk Radio, and the app gives us another platform from which we can continue building.”
