HELLA celebrates enthusiastic reception to announcements
HELLA makes a strong impact at Automechanika Birmingham with new product launches and wide trade interest
Comprehensive braking, thermal management, diagnostics, ADAS, and lighting ranges showcased to UK workshops and distributors
Positive market response confirms HELLA’s OE-quality solutions and technical support meet evolving aftermarket demands
HELLA celebrated a highly successful Automechanika Birmingham last week, unveiling a series of new launches and announcements that attracted interest from workshops, distributors, and the trade press alike.
For the first time in the UK, HELLA showcased its comprehensive braking range, a lineup that has built a solid reputation for reliability across Europe over the past decade. The range features OE-quality pads, discs, calipers, drums, shoes, and cylinders, engineered for durability and performance, and is complemented by HELLA electronics, including brake-by-wire pedals and ABS sensors.
With 6,000 parts currently available in the UK and plans to expand beyond 9,000, HELLA is quickly establishing itself as a trusted braking brand, combining competitive pricing with full ECE R90 approval. Trade press had early access during a well-attended briefing on the first morning of the show.
The brand also announced its official return to thermal management, with plans for an initial range of 1,200 OE-quality air conditioning and engine cooling components, set to grow to 6,000 by 2027.
“Thermal management was a major topic throughout the event,” said Neil Grant, Managing Director of HELLA UK. “We had fantastic engagement from technicians, factors, and suppliers who recognise the quality and scope of our offering.”
HELLA expects to fully integrate thermal management with its established electronics range, including compressors, condensers, interior blowers, radiator fans, radiators, and intercoolers, alongside pioneering EV components such as coolant control hubs (CCH), electronic valve actuators (eVA), and medium pumps (MPX).
Hella Gutmann’s diagnostics and ADAS solutions also drew considerable attention at the exhibition, highlighted by a popular Workshop Hub session, ‘ADAS: Today’s Opportunity and Tomorrow’s Technology,’ presented by Steve Fox. The CSC-Tool SE Performance Set, offered at a special show price, attracted a high level of enquiries throughout the event.
In addition, HELLA’s universal lighting range made a strong impression with 54 new light bar models tailored for trucks and off-road vehicles. Standout products included the compact Black Magic Edgeless Pro Mini and the rugged Black Magic Tough Pro series, both delivering powerful, reliable illumination with advanced features such as position lights, warning flashers, and heated lenses. Designed for durability and versatility, the range offers fleets enhanced safety and style for demanding conditions and will be available in the coming weeks.
“Our stand was consistently busy, which is always the best sign of a successful show,” Neil Grant added. “We’re leaving with new business opportunities, stronger relationships, and clear proof that HELLA’s range, backed by trusted technical support, is exactly what the trade needs.”
