SELECT Automotive challenges misconceptions

SELECT Automotive has called for a shift in industry perception surrounding product quality, urging the automotive aftermarket to move beyond outdated assumptions linked to country of origin and instead focus instead on the processes that performance and reliability are defined by. 

As globalisation has reshaped manufacturing, production has increasingly moved to regions offering the right combination of expertise, infrastructure and scalability. While this has enabled greater efficiency and access to advanced manufacturing capabilities, it has also led to persistent misconceptions, particularly around products manufactured in Asia.

SELECT Automotive believes these perceptions no longer reflect the realities of modern manufacturing.

Material selection, manufacturing processes, testing procedures and ongoing quality monitoring are the key factors that ultimately define whether a product meets the required standard or not.”

While often subject to criticism, China remains central to this conversation, having been widely acknowledged as the global hub of production facility innovation, demonstrating its capability in delivering high-quality output when supported by robust oversight and clear standards.
