Laser’s new air-hammer ball joint separator set speeds up suspension work

The new Pneumatic Impact Ball Joint Separator Set (part number 9183), is built for the air impact hammer and designed to take the strain out of separating joints quickly, cleanly, and without damage.

Forget slow and sketchy scissor-style splitters — this 11-piece kit includes eight screw-in adaptors covering common thread sizes from M10 to M16. Remove the ball joint securing nut, screw on the correct-threaded adaptor, then place one of the two supplied punches onto the adaptor and let the air hammer do the work. You’ll free the taper with controlled, vibration-assisted force in a matter of seconds.

One of the punches is straight, when access is good; the second punch uses a domed adaptor to allow controlled, angled access. The adaptors can also be used with a hammer.

Ideal for workshop or mobile repair use, the 9183 is a real time-saver when servicing suspension arms or steering components. All components come fitted in a compact, toolbox-friendly EVA foam tray.
