OEM-style repairs for modern fuel systems
New from Connect Workshop Consumables is the Assorted Fuel & Pipe Connector Kit (part number 37199), a comprehensive master kit designed to let technicians repair or replace hard plastic fuel lines, rubber fuel hoses and quick-connect fittings to an OEM standard — without improvisation or guesswork. The kit bundles the most commonly used plastic pipe sizes, rubber hose spares, clamps and the clever Connector Insertion Tool (also available separately from Laser Tools: part number 6933), so a clean, reliable repair can be completed quickly and safely at the bench or on the vehicle.
Modern fuel systems increasingly use small-bore nylon pipe and a variety of quick-connect fittings. Damaged lines or brittle connectors are a frequent cause of leaks and breakdowns; the 37199 kit removes the downtime and risk associated with makeshift repairs by giving technicians genuine replacement parts and a proven fitting method in one box.
Why workshops will use this comprehensive kit:
OEM-style results, fast: the kit contains the right combinations of straight and 90° quick connectors and male pipe adaptors to match most on-vehicle repairs — producing a professional, reliable joint.
Avoid heat damage: the included pipe connector insertion tool (Part No. 6933) allows the connector to be fitted mechanically without soaking in hot water, greatly reducing the risk of warping or damaging seals and connectors. The insertion tool is an EU registered design and manufactured by Laser Tools in Sheffield.
Safer, cleaner repairs: use of correct connectors and hose assemblies reduces the chance of leaks under pressure.
Workshop efficiency: stocked in a single, organised kit with EVA foam for tools, the set keeps common spares to hand and speeds up turnaround times.
Quick connectors: 10 x straight & 90° quick connectors for nylon pipe IDs 6, 8 & 10 mm and rubber hose IDs 7.5 & 12 mm — manufactured to SAE J2044-220908 specifications.
Male pipe connectors: 5 sizes for nylon IDs 6, 8, 10 mm and rubber hose 7.5 & 12 mm; plus 2 double-ended adapters to join 6/8 mm nylon to 7.5 mm rubber.
Pipe stock: nylon pipe — 6, 8 and 10 mm ID × 340 mm lengths; rubber hose — 7.5 and 12 mm ID × 200 mm lengths.
Clips & fixings: twin-ear O-clips (2 sizes) to suit 15–18 mm and 17–20 mm hose diameters.
Insertion tool: hand-operated force tool with machined adaptors to clamp the pipe and press the connector home evenly and safely. EU Registered Design; made in Sheffield.
Cutter: stainless-steel soft-hose cutter for rubber hose up to 35 mm diameter.
Operating & performance rating: connector continuous running pressure 5 bar (72 psi); max pressure 7 bar (101 psi). Temperature range -40°C to +120°C. Always lubricate connectors with petroleum jelly (or equivalent) to ease assembly.
Top-ups available: all consumable parts in the kit can be ordered separately to replenish commonly used sizes.
