Schaeffler’s Technical Manager, Alistair Mason, delivered service training alongside Emma Lindley, in a front of house masterclass
Training is essential for any technician, and this shouldn’t stop once they get their qualifications. It’s because of this that Schaeffler regularly provides training on complex technical components and systems, not only to ensure correct fitment, but to also share knowledge and insight across the wider aftermarket industry.
Recently, Schaeffler’s Alistair Mason partnered with Emma Lindley from Service Advisor Academy, to provide an all-encompassing training session to technicians.
The training was focused on front of house skills and increasing profit, with a technical session on double clutch systems.
Alistair commented: “I find that going into garages and talking to technicians can be incredibly valuable, as not only can they tell me about their experiences on the workshop floor, but I can also deliver training on modern products and systems that continue to grow in complexity.
“Installing Schaeffler parts not only benefits workshops because they’re receiving top quality products, but they also get the very best in technical support from us when they need it, as well as access to the popular REPXPERT app, where they can earn points to exchange for products and tools that can assist them in their day-to-day work.
“Supporting Emma with these training sessions proved to be a fantastic success, with the technicians commenting on how helpful they found the experience and how valuable the information they had learned was going to be in the future.”
